The Challenge

Your managers don't need a coach — they need a coaching mindset.

Classic management training teaches skills: delegation, feedback, prioritization. But what shapes leadership most effectively is not skill — it's mindset: asking before answering, listening before solving, holding space so the team member finds their own way.

Typical manager reaction
  • "I know what needs to be done — just do it this way."
  • Immediate solution mode: takes over the problem.
  • Time pressure leaves no room for asking.
  • Result: team member stays passive, doesn't grow.
Coaching-mindset manager
  • "What do you think might be the first step?"
  • Gives ownership back — through questions.
  • 10 minutes of questioning > 30 of explaining.
  • Result: team member grows, thinks independently.

Insights to leadership development

What if your managers became the coaches your teams need?

A shift from telling to asking — small in technique, transformative in impact across the entire organization.

The Solution

Not training coaches — training coaching-mindset managers.

Manager-as-Coach is NOT an ICF-credentialed coach training. Not 6–12 months. Not a multi-thousand-euro certification. It is a practical 4-day program — specifically for the middle managers who work with people every day and want to bring the power of questioning into their leadership toolkit.

Practical

Each day gives a concrete tool to use the very next week.

Short

2×2 days (8 weeks apart) — doesn't disrupt the work.

Cohort

Groups of 8–12 — they learn from each other, not just the trainer.

Measurable

Pre/post 360° measurement so HR can see the progress.

The Trainers

Coaches who have also been leaders.

The Manager-as-Coach program is led by trainers who are not only coaches — they have also been in the middle manager's shoes. They understand what it feels like when there is no time at quarter-end for "beautiful questions".

ICF PCC or MCC
Each of our trainers coaches at least at PCC level.
Past leadership role
Minimum 8 years of real leadership experience — understands time scarcity.
Adult learning practice
Minimum 5 years of group adult-learning facilitation.
